Passing Drills
4 Corner Passing:
Start with lines in all 4 corners on one side of the court—two balls start in opposite corners.
The players start by passing to the right or left—the player receiving the pass must walk his “defender” (even though there is none) down and cut to receive the pass.
The player then takes 1-2 dribbles before passing the ball and continuing the circle motion.
Do for a set amount of time one direction before switching directions.
Partner Passing Series:
Players partner up and need one ball for the pair—start lined up 15-18 feet away from each other.
Players execute the prescribed pass (bounce pass, skip pass, ball fake + pass, etc.).
One Minute Passing:
Start with two lines on opposite wings. The first player in one of the lines starts with the ball (4)
3 fills and pops to the top of the key to receive the pass from 4. When he receives the pass from 4, he immediately swings the ball and reverses it to 2 before going to the end of the opposite line.
After 3 reverses the ball to 2, 4 fills and pops to the top of the key to receive the pass from 2 and the pattern continues for the prescribed amount of times or reps.
