Diamond—Floppy

  • 4 & 5 turn to set pin downs for 3 to cut out to the wing and receive the pass from 1.

  • 2 empties to the opposite wing.

  • After passing to 3, 1 cuts down the middle of the lane.

  • 2 fills at the top of the key to receive the swing pass from 3.

  • After swinging the ball to 2, 3 steps down to set a staggered pin down with 5 for 1 to use.

  • After setting the pin down, 3 flies off the pin down from 4 to the opposite wing.

  • 2 can pass to 1 or 2.

  • If there is no initial shot or scoring opportunities on the catch, 1 or 2 can look to enter it to the post.

Diamond—step up

  • 4 & 5 turn to set a pin down for 3 to cut to either wing and receive 1’s pass.

  • 4 cuts through to the strong side corner, while 2 cuts to the weak side corner.

  • 3 boomerangs back to 1 as 5 begins to step-up for the PNR.

  • 5 sets a step-up screen for 1 and rolls to the rim.

  • 3 & 4 rotate on 1’s drive and 2 holds the corner.

Diamond—Rip

  • 2 cuts out to the wing to receive the pass from 1.

  • 3 cuts to the opposite wing.

  • 1 sets a pin down for 4 to pop to the top of the key and receive the pass from 2.

  • After setting the pin down for 4, 1 turns and sets an smash screen for 5 to flex cut over top.

  • 4 can enter directly to 5 or reverse to 3 for an easier post entry.

Diamond—Lob

  • 1 dribbles to the wing while 2 sets a pin down for 3 to pop to the top of the key.

  • 1 passes to 3.

  • 4 turns and sets a screen for 2 to cut to the wing and receive the pass from 3.

  • 1 cuts through to the strong side corner.

  • 4 fills the strong side dunker, while 5 sets a back screen for 3 to receive the lob from 2.

Diamond—roll & replace

  • 2 & 3 cut to opposite corners.

  • 4 sets a pin down for 5 to cut towards the top of the key.

  • 5 sets an outside ball screen for 1 to use and rolls to the rim.

  • As 5 is rolling to the rim, 4 pops to the top of the key for roll & replace action.

  • 3 holds the corner and 2 rotates on 1’s drive.

  • If 1 has no initial options, he can kick back to 4 at the top of the key.

  • If 4 does not have an initial shot or drive, he can go high-low with 5 or reverse to 2 for an easier post entry.
